The Homestead

This attractive, three bedroom is nestled among the orange and mandarin groves of McKellar Farms. Remodeled in the fall of 2007, the house has central heating and air conditioning, direct TV, full kitchen, wireless internet access, washer and dryer, sunroom, and much more. Decorated with original Albert Marshall paintings of the Sierra Nevada mountains, the 8 room house is well furnished and comfortable, with a big back porch and pleasant patio looking over the landscaped grounds.

The area is abundant with wildlife, birds, and flowers. Guests may request a free tour of the citrus groves, including a demonstration of the equipment and packing facilities.

Comforts of Home

We provide guests with a well-stocked pantry and refrigerator including whatever they want for breakfast (ordered during the reservation process) and a generous supply of fruit in season. This is, in the tradition of the ranch, a do-it-yourself operation. We do not cook, make beds, etc. during your stay. (We do clean thoroughly between guests, but during your stay, the housekeeping is up to you.) The master bedroom has a queen bed. A bath with tub adjoins the master bedroom. The front bedroom has twin beds, and the back bedroom has a queen bed. There is a bathroom with tub and shower located between these two rooms. There is also a hide-a-bed in the living room, bringing the total sleeping accommodations to 8 persons.

A smaller house just a few steps behind the homestead, the bunkhouse has two The Bunkhouse has a private entrance, adjoining the beautiful gardens and neighboring orchards at Seven Sycamores Ranch is located in Ivanhoe, California, convenient to the National Parks, Visalia and Fresno.rooms, with a queen bed and two stacked bunks. It has a bath with shower, microwave oven, a mini-refrigerator, electric heat and air conditioning. The bunkhouse was also renovated in the fall of 2007. It was once owner Bob McKellar's home when the family outgrew the homestead.

Native Adobe Buildings

The other buildings adjacent to the houses are made of native adobe clay by Hugh McKellar, the founder, and house a garage, walk-in cooler/storage room for fruits and vegetables, and a "wash house" built over the original cistern. The sidewalks are made of hand-hewn granite stones carried down from the Sierra Nevada mountains, and laid by McKellar when he created his ranch home. Five of the original seven sycamores still shade the property, joined by two newer trees upholding the ranch tradition.

Full payment as deposit, non-refundable after 60 days prior.*
Sunday thru Thursdays, 2 night min., $200 per night. One night deposit, non-refundable after 60 days prior.*
Five days, Sunday night thru Thursday night, $750. $250 deposit, non-refundable after 60 days prior.*
Seven days, $1,400. Deposit of $500, non-refundable after 60 days prior.*

*There is also a refundable $300 security deposit and non-refundable $75 cleaning fee on all rentals.

Bunkhouse
